• Supporting the move into a new year group or key stage.
• Boosting children’s confidence and self-esteem by supporting independent reading.
• Providing free access to books and fun family activities during the summer.

Our Research
The Reading Challenge is the state's biggest reading for pleasure programme for children, and helps get approximately 700,000 children into libraries each year.

Prizes Fine Print

Contest runs June 1 to August 28, 2026. Winners will be selected on September 4, 2026 by random draw. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. Winners will be notified by phone or email by September 11, 2026 and must collect their prize at the City Centre, Poirier, or Library Link branches. If Coquitlam Public Library cannot get in touch with a winner within two weeks from the draw date, another winner will be selected through random draw. Winners forfeit unclaimed prizes 3 months from notification. By entering, you are providing your information to Coquitlam Public Library, and it will be used to contact the prize winners.
